Metodología: No experimental o expostfacto. Descritptiva.
The construct executive functions is used to refer the processes that involve an intentionality in the control of other cognitive processes. Contributes to the control of impulses, attention, thought and behavior. Aims: Translate, adapt, scale and analyze psychometric properties (reliability and validity) of BRIEF-P in Basque children with neurotypic development; Analyze the development of the dimensions that integrate executive functions in Early Childhood Education; Design a program of psycho-pedagogical intervention. Methodology: Not experimental or exposed. Descriptive. Cross-sectional development study. Participants: Fathers and mothers of children from 2 to 6 years old, Euskaldun population. Data collection instrument: Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool (BRIEF-P). Results: BRIEF-P adapted in Basque shows adequate psychometric properties (reliability and validity). There are differences in the evaluation of the executive functions according to the informants. There are statistically significant differences in the flexibility dimension when comparing the version in Basque and the original one. Discussion: Highlight the importance of continuing to work in the development of executive functions as a factor the protection of low academic performance and possible difficulties in emotional development.
