La literariedad de los memes. Potencia literaria en la era digital

Abstract

[eng] At present, technology has introduced new cultural productions that seem to contend for relevance with literature in its traditional sense. Among them, we find the meme, which we will define as a communication microunit subject to replication. Mainly created and propagated online, following slang's paradigms, its primary objective is the expression of ideas in a humorous tone. Despite the differences, we will make our way through using the tools provided by literary theory, to propose that these new manifestations could present a certain continuity with literary genres, and even take part in them.
