Abstract

[eng] Griselda Gambaro is one of the most powerful female voices within the Argentine theatre of the twentieth century. Considering her dramatic work, it is quickly observed that the predominant theme on which the most of her dramaturgical pieces are centred on is a profound reflection on power. Despite the existence of several previous studies that address this issue, there are few which observe the universality of the reflections offered by Gambaro. The current work will try to show more clearly this subject from a critical analysis of the Gambarian dramaturgy (temporally delimited between 1963 and 1986) and the relationship that can be established with the theorical reflections around the power of Michel Foucault in Discipline and Punish.
