Anníbal de Cartago, realitat i ficció

Abstract

[eng] Hannibal Barca was a leading figure in the Second Punic War. His military achievements during these intense years of fighting Rome would consolidate his reputation as a fearsome enemy in classical historiography. The aim of this work is to challenge the distorted image of Hannibal portrayed in these ancient texts, while also examining its diffusion through history to the present day. Furthermore, close reading of a variety of sources can offer a more accurate profile of the historical figure than the classical version would allow.
