L’attore sostituisce l’interiorità quotidiana con un’altra interiorità acquisita, studiata, meditata con l’intelletto o attraverso la sensibilità. Dove sta dunque l’attore? Tutto nella sua testa o tutto nel suo cuore? Attraverso un percorso che ha le sue radici nel diderotiano Paradosso sull’attore, il contributo indaga l’estetica attoriale dal Settecento alla contemporaneità, mettendo in luce la capacità dell’attore di rompere quel legame automatico e immediato (anche di origine fisiologica) tra stato interiore e apparenza esterna.
