Dificultades metodológicas en el diagnóstico del tipo de imagen utilizada en el aprendizaje

Abstract

[Resumen] La idea de que las imágenes raras ayudan al recuerdo es una creencia ancestral que siguen recomendando los mnemonistas profesionales. Sin embargo, no siempre las imágenes raras resultan más efectivas que las imágenes normales, ya que existen una serie de factores que influyen en los resultados. Uno de los factores fundamentales para poder valorar la existencia de una mejora en recuerdo en función del tipo de imagen es comprobar si los sujetos siguieron las instrucciones. Una de las estrategias que se ha utilizado para controlar el tipo de imagen utilizadas por los sujetos (normal - rara) se ha centrado en el manejo de la presentación del material. En este estudio se ha realizado una revisión de los distintos modos de presentar el material objeto de aprendizaje en investigaciones de recuerdo de pares asociados. La importancia de este factor radica en la posibilidad de garantizar la validez de los resultados, por lo cual, se hace imprescindible un control riguroso de esta variable. Las futuras investigaciones deberían estudiar nuevas formas de medir que los sujetos siguan las instrucciones.
