Abstract

[Abstract] Due to the special characteristics of the Baiona basin the study of the sedimentary distribution related to the litoral dynamic was considered to be interesting. At present a very well delined zonation was observed, caused by the action of the tides and waves fronts, by its particular physiographic configuration and by harbour constructions that took place lately. According to the sedimentary and hydrodynamic characteristics of the zone, three sedimentary environments have been diferentiated: beaches, delta tide and subtidal zone.
