Abstract

Per ricordare i settant’anni dalla morte di Walter Benjamin, la rivista online “Aisthesis. Pratiche, linguaggi e saperi dell’estetico”, il Seminario Permanente di Estetica e la Società Italiana di Estetica hanno organizzato a Firenze, il 29 ottobre 2010, il convegno “Immagini dialettiche e costellazioni tempestive: Warburg, Benjamin, Adorno”. All’idea, comune ai tre autori, di un contenuto di verità che non si dà che nel suo concreto, istantaneo configurarsi, il convegno ha voluto dare voce nella forma di un “concerto filosofico”, in cui si sono susseguiti per una giornata gli interventi di filosofi, filologi, storici dell’arte e dell’architettura. I loro contributi sono raccolti nella parte monografica di questo numero di “Aisthesis”, scanditi in quattro “tempi” o sezioni. La prima è dedicata alla figura di Aby Warburg, con cui Benjamin ebbe un dialogo postumo che accompagna, e forse in parte può contribuire a chiarire, quello che ebbe in presa diretta con Adorno. La seconda e terza sezione si concentrano, invece,sul confronto tra Warburg e Benjamin, alla luce del rapporto tra immagine e tempo (seconda sezione), e al cospetto dell'attuale società dell'immagine (la terza). La quarta sezione indaga, infine, i punti di incontro e di tensione tra la riflessione di Benjamin e quella di Adorno.
