Abstract

A privileged observatory on the declination of the contemporary idea of the museum that PRIN research pursues. These results make it possible to understand how architecture and art, environments and works of art, are the primary and indispensable categories in the redefinition of museum, urban, and environmental space. These categories, through their correlation, reveal a new formal and temporal perspective, capable of restoring value to the "sacred" dimension of the museum, linked to the institution but also to the experience of its use, while maintaining intact all the necessary openness towards a plural society.
