Da un punto di vista particolare, quello di chi è stato redattore della rivista dal 2006, l’articolo offre una testimonianza dell’uomo e dello studioso nel lavoro costante, anno dopo anno, di costruzione degli «Studi di lessicografia italiana»: un Luca Serianni che la vocazione per l’insegnamento e per il discepolato portava a tenere le porte aperte soprattutto per quei giovani bravi che potessero essere stimolati alla ricerca e indirizzati sulla strada della scienza in modo fermo e sicuro, ma al tempo stesso amichevole e schietto. The article offers a testimony of the man and the scholar and of his constant efforts, year after year, to create the «Studi di lessicografia italiana», from a particular point of view, that of one who has been editor of the journal since 2006: a portrait of Luca Serianni, whose vocation for teaching and discipleship led him to keep the doors open especially to those good young people who could be stimulated to research and steered on the path of science in a firm and secure, but at the same time friendly and sincere, manner.
