Angiò e Lussemburgo nell’Italia centro-settentrionale (secoli XIII-XIV)

Abstract

Il saggio illustra le dominazioni e le influenze degli Angiò e dei Lussemburgo nell'Italia dei secoli XIII-XIV. In prima battuta si illustra il ruolo degli Angiò prima della comparsa dei Lussemburgo nella Penisola, svolto in ambito militare - guerre contro i filosvevi e ghibellini - e politico - incarichi pontifici e cittadini. In seconda battuta si analizza il passaggio dal negoziato al conflitto fra le due dinastie, dall'inizio del Trecento, prima fra Roberto d'Angiò ed Enrico VII, poi fra Roberto e Giovanni di Boemia, anche approfondendo alcuni casi di signoria cittadina particolarmente significativi. Infine si presentano i progetti di unificazione politica dell'Italia centro-settentrionale riguardanti gli Angiò, in dialettica con il potere imperiale.
