Abstract

Both a literary device and a literary genre, Skaz essentially works as a poetization of prose, performed through a freely unfolding free direct speech. A story teller speaks, totally loses control of what he's saying, his erratic verbal (and physical) gestures enrich and emphasize text rhythm. Misinterpretation of reality leads to exhilarating misunderstandings. The secret of a purely verbal sense of the comic is an extremely simple storycage, an electrician refuses to give light to the theatre until the director allows two of his female friends to watch the fully-booked show. This cage is stuffed with every kind of vulgarism, word play, malapropism and verbal tics which infect the whole text magically, passing from one character to another, eroding logic and finally reaching a total estrangement.INGLESE
