In the 1960s in Europe and America, architects shared the feeling of having lost all contact with reality and of no longer thinking of an architecture that responds to human needs. Thus, in architecture as in art, the awareness of a political function of their actions developed, born from a negative vision of progress and distrust of institutions and technological development. The theme is investigated in relation to what is happening today in the Metaverse, where the impossible becomes possible, but stripped of any political message. While in the 1960s and 1970s these solutions could be described as dystopian, today it is possible to experience them in the virtual reality of the Metaverse, in a hyper-mega-capitalist key, however.
