Les anticoagulants oraux directs (AODs) constituent une avancée significative dans le traitement de la fibrillation auriculaire non valvulaire et de la maladie thromboembolique veineuse. Outre leur gestion simplifiée par l’absence de monitoring biologique et d’adaptation posologique, ils permettent une réduction des hémorragies les plus graves et en particulier des hémorragies intracrâniennes, par rapport aux anti-vitamines K.
