This thesis explores the practice and preparation undertaken before a series of concerts featuring all of Bach Solo Cello Suites. It includes some information and background to Bach and the Suites and then discusses the musicians general approach to performing the works. It then addresses various issues within each of the Suites including interpretation, recordings, overcoming technical issues, sacred versus secular appriaches. After reflections and evaluation it discusses possible projects for the future.
