The article further explores the image of God of the Journey in terms of Griffiths' more mature theology of complementarity (rather than fulfilment). Griffiths' understanding of the Christian faith as a unique manifestation of 'the seeds of the Word' is deepened through his encounter with Indian religions. However, as a Benedictine monk and Sannyasi, his practice of radical hospitality means that his encounter with other religions also convinces him of the distinctive importance of other faiths. Other faith journeys are also unique. How can this image best be analysed in order to better understand a 'Pilgrim God'?
