Philologie et musicologie II

Abstract

Le colloque réunit des musicologues, des philologues et des musiciens afin d’aborder la question de l’interprétation des répertoires chantés du XIIe au XVIe siècle. Jusqu’à récemment, les philologues ont écarté la question musicale ; les musicologues, de leur côté, ont négligé les subtilités des textes. Depuis quelques années pourtant, nombre de musiciens s’efforcent de redonner à la poésie ancienne sa magnificence, mais le manque de coordination entre recherche et interprétation a entraîné des résultats sonores non optimaux. Si l’interdisciplinarité reste une pétition de principe très partagée, les pratiques concrètes se dispensent d'une authentique confrontation. Le présent colloque tente de remédier à cette lacune par une formule inédite dans nos disciplines : toutes les communications résultent de collaborations. Les intervenants y abordent l’histoire de l’interprétation, les liens entre recherche et pratique mais aussi les divergences d’opinions entre les musiciens et les chercheurs. Les expérimentations sonores occuperont aussi une large place dans nos échanges et montreront à quel point ce travail d’archéologie musicale aiguillonne le philologue et le musicologue.
