Abstract

L’objectif de ce colloque est de s’intéresser, pour cette période déjà très investie par la recherche, à un espace urbain dans une perspective très large. Les autorités politiques et la répression sont bien sûr présentes, mais le regard est aussi porté sur les aspects économiques, sociaux, culturels, religieux, etc. L’accent est mis sur la vie au quotidien des habitants ordinaires, sans pour autant oublier ces hommes et ces femmes d’exception que sont les résistants, et sans oblitérer les responsabilités de certaines élites dirigeantes. Si ce colloque est centré sur l’agglomération lyonnaise, la dimension comparative est présente au travers d’autres grandes villes françaises et étrangères ou d’interventions qui lui donnent une dimension internationale. Le choix des dix-neuf communications ne prétend pas à l’exhaustivité. Si certains thèmes apparaissaient incontournables, d’autres ont été choisis parce qu’ils n’avaient jamais été abordés ou parce que des intervenants proposaient de les traiter d’une manière renouvelée.
