ABSTRACT: We are currently experiencing a silent epidemic commonly called anxiety. Anxiety is one of the most prevalent and high incidence mental disorders in the population. It is a very common emotion in all human beings, usually appearing in stressful or uncertain situations. In the present work we have identified the repercussion of this problem especially in the adolescent population, a vulnerable group where they constantly suffer physical and mental changes. In this transition from childhood to adolescence, many do not have an established and clear personality, so they experience so many alterations that mental illnesses can appear. The intention of this study is to evaluate the link between anxiety and respiratory frequency. For this reason, emphasis is placed on this correlation, with the purpose of knowing what possibilities are available to reduce its appearance and help to overcome or improve the disorder. KEYWORDS: anxiety, respiratory rate, reduce/control the onset.
