Abstract

Se presentan los resultados de la prospección biológico poblacional efectuada en agosto 2019 de concha negra Anadara tuberculosa y concha huequera Anadara similis en los manglares de Tumbes. Se establecieron 90 estaciones, evaluándose 18 canales de marea y 9 islas. La densidad media en concha negra fue 1,2 ind.m-2, no registrando diferencia significativa entre las zonas evaluadas, con valor máximo de 1,5 ind.m-2 en la zona centro (Puerto Pizarro). La densidad media de concha huequera fue 0,2 ind.m-2, registrando diferencias entre las zonas evaluadas. La biomasa media en concha negra fue 19,8 g.m-2, registrándose el mayor valor (20,9 g.m-2) en Puerto Pizarro. En concha huequera la biomasa media fue 2,7 g.m-2, observándose la mayor en la zona sur (Corrales) (6,3 g.m-2). La proporción sexual de A. tuberculosa presentó diferencias significativas favoreciendo a las hembras, en tanto que A. similis no las registró. Las tallas medias de concha negra y huequera fueron de 36,9 y 36,0 mm de longitud valvar (LV), respectivamente. Los ejemplares con tallas comerciales (≥45 mm LV) representaron el 18,8 y 20,4% del total de individuos analizados en A. tuberculosa y A. similis, respectivamente. Se observó hembras en desarrollo (concha negra) y desarrolladas (concha huequera). Los pesos estimados para la talla de 45 mm LV, a base de la relación peso longitud fueron de 25,9 para concha negra y 20,6 g para concha huequera. La macrofauna asociada estuvo representada por siete especies de bivalvos y un gasterópodo, destacando la concha blanca Leukoma asperrima (Sowerby, 1835) y choro o mejillón Mytella guyanensis (Lamarck, 1819). Se verificó gran cantidad de valvas dobles de diferentes bivalvos, así como dos ejemplares muertos de concha negra.

ABSTRACT: In August 2019, we carried out the biological population survey of Anadara tuberculosa black ark and Anadara similis brown ark in the mangroves of Tumbes. Therefore, a total of 90 stations were established, thus evaluating 18 tidal channels and 9 islands. The mean density for A. tuberculosa was 1.2 ind.m-2, with no significant differences between the evaluated areas, and a peak of 1.5 ind.m-2 in the central area (Puerto Pizarro). Regarding A. similis, its mean density was 0.2 ind.m-2, and differences were observed between the zones evaluated. For Anadara tuberculosa, the mean biomass was 19.8 g.m-2, with a peak (20.9 g.m-2) in the central zone (Puerto Pizarro). The mean biomass for Anadara similis was 2.7 g.m-2, with a peak (6.3 g.m-2) observed in the southern zone (Corrales). There were significant differences in the sex ratio of A. tuberculosa, favoring females, while A. similis did not record them. Regarding average sizes, Anadara tuberculosa and Anadara similis recorded 36.9- and 36.0-mm valve length (VL), respectively. The specimens with commercial sizes (≥45 mm VL) accounted for 18.8 and 20.4% of the total of individuals analyzed in A. tuberculosa and A. similis, respectively. Developing and developed females were observed in both, A. tuberculosa and A. similis, respectively. The estimated weights for the 45 mm VL size, based on the weight-to-length ratio, were 25.9 for Anadara tuberculosa and 20.6 g for Anadara similis. The associated macrofauna was represented by seven species of bivalves and a gastropod, including Leukoma asperrima (Sowerby, 1835) and Mytella guyanensis (Lamarck, 1819). We found a large quantity of double shells of different bivalves, as well as two dead black ark specimens.
