Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general describir las características de la trayectoria profesional de los docentes de instituciones educativas públicas de educación primaria de Lima Metropolitana según la Encuesta Nacional a Docentes 2018. Es de enfoque cuantitativo y el tipo de fuente consultada es de datos secundarios, el cual tuvo como instrumento la encuesta y como muestra a los docentes de las 35 escuelas públicas de Lima Metropolitana. Se logró como resultado que el 50% de docentes que respondieron a la encuesta escogieron la carrera por vocación, que más del 80% eran docentes de aula y que menos del 50% de estos no participaban en evaluaciones convocadas por el Ministerio de Educación, por motivos de salud o porque no se encontraban preparados. Se concluye que la formación e identidad docente son de gran relevancia para la formación continua; asimismo, que los años de experiencia y la condición en que estas se den son las que determinan la experiencia laboral.

The general objective of this research is to determine the characteristics of the professional career of teachers of public educational institutions of primary education in Metropolitan Lima according to the National Survey of Teachers 2018. It has a quantitative approach and the type of source consulted is secondary data, which had as an instrument the survey and as a sample the teachers of the 35 public schools of Metropolitan Lima. It was achieved as a result that 50% of teachers who responded to the survey chose the career by vocation, that more than 80% were classroom teachers and that less than 50% of these did not participate in evaluations convened by the Ministry of Education, for health reasons or because they were not prepared. It is concluded that teacher training and identity are of great relevance for continuous training; likewise, that the years of experience and the condition in which these are given are what determine the work experience.
