La competencia parental como predictor de la adicción a redes sociales y videojuegos en adolescentes de Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue conocer la predicción de la competencia parental sobre la adicción a redes sociales y videojuegos en adolescentes de Lima Metropolitana. La metodología estuvo basada en un diseño no experimental y de tipo predictivo, el tamaño de la muestra fue 700 adolescentes, todo ello en base a un muestreo no probabilístico, los participantes fueron del sexo femenino y masculino entre los 12 a 17 años. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la escala de competencia parental, la escala de adicción a las redes sociales y la escala de adicción a los videojuegos. En base a ello, el resultado revela una predicción significativa de la competencia parental sobre las redes sociales (β = -0.018) y adicción a los videojuegos (β = -0.016). Se concluye niveles altos de competencia parental menor será la conducta adictiva hacia las redes sociales y videojuegos en la muestra estudiada.
