Abstract

Muhasebenin sosyal sorumlulugu, isletmedeki mali olaylarla ilgili olan bütün menfaat gruplarının çıkarlarının gözetilerek mali tabloların düzenlenmesi ve bilgi üretimi esnasında gerçege uygun, tarafsız ve dürüst davranılmasının gerekliligi esasına dayanmaktadır. Mali tablolar hazırlanırken ilgili gruplardan herhangi birinin menfaatlerinin öncelenmesi muhasebenin sosyal sorumluluk ilkesine aykırıdır. Tüketici olarak faydasını, üretici olarak da kârını arttırmanın pesinde kosan rasyonel bireyi tanımlamak için kullanılan Ekonomik Adam (Homo Economicus) kavramı ise muhasebenin sosyal sorumluluk ilkesiyle bagdasmayan unsurlar içermektedir. Bu çalısmanın amacı muhasebenin sosyal sorumluluk ilkesi çerçevesinde ekonomik adam modelinin geçerliligini incelemektir.
