The report presents the current state of food insecurity in the world, the progress made in eliminating hunger and the need for further action to eradicate malnutrition and its consequences. It addresses the impact of Common agricultural policy on food security in developing countries and underlines the importance of agriculture for achieving the SDG 2. The key role of policy coherence, both at the level of donor and recipients countries is emphasized.
