Konvekslik Ve Optimizasyon Üzerine

Abstract

In this thesis, the relationship between convexity and optimization is investigated. In the first part of the thesis the importance of Convex Programming Problem is explained. In the second part, the basic definitions and theorems known from functional analysis and topology are given. In the third part the properties of convex functions and sets are given. Also the conditions which characterize the convexity of the given function and set, are given. The fourth part of the thesis deals with the optimization of given convex function on a given convex set.Key Words: Convexity, Optimization.
