The Amal form is an ancient Turkish music form widely practiced during the 15th century and exists in many periodicals published during the time of Murat II and Fâtih. The following century, Murabba superseded amal. Although it is not similar in terms of figure and performance, we can see that the word "kar" is preferred instead of the amal in the lyrics collection written after the 17 th century. Arabic and Turkish examples are also found besides the amals which are generally Persian. We included examples from Abd al-Qadir Maraghi, who is renowned for his works being a theorist, a composer, and a performer. In this work, we reviewed a periodical within which many of Maraghi’s works existed. In this article, according to the anonymous lyrics collection, the performance of amal form and the determination of the compositions of this form by Maraghi are given.

Amel formu XV. yüzyılda çok yaygın olarak kullanılmış eski bir Türk müziği formudur. II. Murat ve Fâtih devrinde yazılan güfte mecmualarında pek çok örneği vardır. Sonraki yüzyılda yerini Murabba formuna bırakmıştır. Şekil ve icrâ açısından benzemese de XVII. yüzyıldan sonra yazılan güfte mecmualarında amel yerine “kâr” kelimesinin tercih edildiğini görmekteyiz. Genellikle Farsça olan amellerin yanında Arapça ve Türkçe örneklerine de rastlanmaktadır. Abdülkâdir Merâgî hem nazariyatçı hem de bestekâr ve icrâcı olarak müziğimizde çok önemli bir kişidir. Ona ait bestelerin belirlenmesi de büyük önem arz eder. İncelediğimiz güfte mecmuasında birçok amel bestesi yer almaktadır. Bu makalede anonim güfte mecmuasına göre Amel formunun icrâsı ve Merâgî'nin bu formdaki bestelerinin tespitine yer verilmiştir.
