Abstract

Takotsubo kardiyomiyopatisi genellikle emosyonel ve fiziksel stresi takiben ortaya çıkmaktadır. Akut ve geri dönüşümlü sol ventrikül sistolik disfonksiyonu ile karakterize olup, tipik EKG bulgularının varlığına rağmen koroner arterlerde kritik lezyon görülmemekle beraber apikal balonlaşma söz konusudur (1). Kalbin şekli, apikal anevrizmaya bağlı olarak hastalığın erken dönemlerinde Japonya’da balıkçılar tarafından kullanılan ahtapot tuzağına benzediği için “tako-tsubo (ahtapot tuzağı)” denilmiştir. Bu duruma yol açan patofizyolojik mekanizma net değildir. Takotsubo kardiyomiyopatisinde asıl ortaya çıkanın katekolamin salınımına bağlı miyokardiyal hasar olduğu düşünülmektedir. Biyokimyasal değerlerde troponin seviyesi artışı gibi kesin miyokard iskemi bulguları vardır (2).
