Abstract

İltihabi meme kanseri (İMK), meme kanserleri arasında en nadir görülen ve kendine özgü patolojik yapısı ile, en düşük sağkalımı olan, en agresif seyirli hastalıktır. İMKnin kendine özgü özellikleri olmasına rağmen lokal ileri meme kanseri ile karıştırılabilmektedir. Biyopsi tanının teyit edilmesini sağlar. Meme kanserinin bu türünde, diğer yaygın görülen meme kanseri türlerinde olanın aksine, yeni gelişmelerden anlamlı fayda sağlanamamıştır. İMK için meme koruyucu cerrahi uygulanması kontrendikedir. Bu hastalık için tek başına radikal mastektomi uygulandığında 5 yıllık sağkalım %5in altındadır. Günümüzde İMK tedavisi kemoterapi, cerrahi ve radyoterapiden oluşan multidisipliner yaklaşımı gerektirir. Bu yaklaşım 5 yıllık genel sağkalımı %50ye çıkarabilmektedir.
