This research focuses on the growing phenomenon of Mukbang. Attractive, young people sit in front of a webcam, broadcast themselves eating large quantities of food and chat with their invisible viewers. The term for this is Mukbang, which combines the Korean words meokneun (eating), and bangsong (broadcast). Mukbang has been growing in popularity throughout Asia, with the most popular videos on YouTube reaching two million viewers. The one child policy is considered tor its etfects on the younger generation's motivations. That's why, in the present study, how Mukbang as a cultural practice reflects this specific condition and what pleasures and connections the participants gaining are might be gaining were investigated...
