Mobil pazarlama uygulamalarının pazarlama etiği açısından değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Mobil pazarlama ve pazarlama etiği kavramları, Türkiye'de son yıllarda ele alınmakta ve literatürde bu konularda çalışma bulunmasına rağmen mobil pazarlama etiği konusunda son derece az sayıda araştırma bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle etik açıdan tartışmalara neden olan mobil pazarlama faaliyetleri incelenmiş ve Türkiye'deki pazarlama uygulamalarının etik ilkelere uygun olup olmadığını, eğer varsa etik ilkelere uygun olmayan uygulamaların yoğunluğunun tespit edilmesini ve mobil pazarlama profesyonellerinin mobil pazarlama uygulamalarına bakış açılarının tüketici bakış açısıyla karşılaştırılmasını amaçlayan bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına mobil pazarlama sektöründe faaliyet gösteren kurumlarda çalışan pazarlama profesyonelleriyle yapılan derinlemesine görüşmeler ve farklı demografik özelliklere sahip tüketicilerden oluşturulan odak grup görüşmelerinin analiz edilmesi sonucunda ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları mobil pazarlama faaliyetlerinin pazarlama profesyonelleri açısından pazarlama etiğine uygun bulunduğunu, tüketici açısından ise etik ilkelere uygun olmadığını düşündüklerini göstermiştir.

`Mobile marketing` and `the ethics of marketing` terms are being studied seperately in Turkey in recent years. However, there are really few studies on `the ethics of mobile marketing` which combines and covers both areas. In this work, mobile marketing activities those cause ethical debate are analysed and present the result of a research to determine ethical and unethical marketing activities from consumers' point of view. The results of this research is a outcome of detailed interviews with marketing professionals who work in mobile marketing sector and focus groups which include consumers from various demographic segments. The results of the research shows that mobile marketing activities are not considered ethical enough, although the marketing professionals think the opposite way.
