¿Qué es la imagen corporal?

Abstract

Este artículo tiene por objetivo analizar el concepto imagen corporal dentro de la psicología actual, en cuanto a su definición, su relación con los Trastornos de la Conducta Alimentaria, así como sus alteraciones y técnicas de evaluación. Como metodología se revisan la literatura científica al respecto y se consideran las aportaciones de 26 trabajos. Como conclusión más destacada se indica que es la falta de consenso sobre qué es la imagen corporal y cuáles son concretamente sus alteraciones, así como la dependencia en su estudio de su incidencia en los TCA.
