O fenómeno do autocriticismo e a sua relação com a depressão: Concetualização de um projeto psicoterapêutico

Abstract

A depressão mantém-se como umas das psicopatologias mais graves e incapacitantes, em Portugal, à qual está associada elevado número de suicídios. Torna-se importante explorar todas as dimensões de depressão, para desenvolver respostas eficazes. Assim, surge o conceito de autocriticismo, que se define por uma resposta negativa, a eventos percecionados como falhas ou fracassos, caraterizada por uma auto-avaliação e autojulgamento desproporcionalmente negativos com prejuízo psíquico, intimamente ligada à depressão. Contrário ao autocriticismo, surge o conceito de autocompaixão, que se carateriza por uma resposta do indivíduo, mais adaptativa às falhas ou erros que identifica, encerrando em si um caráter protetor. O presente trabalho, como relatório de estágio, apresenta a concetualização de um projeto psicoterapêutico, realizado num hospital do Alentejo, comportando o internamento e contexto de domicílio. Preconizando-se intervenções de enfermagem especializadas, estas visam a alteração das respostas cognitivas e emocionais disfuncionais, associadas à sintomatologia depressiva e elevados graus de autocriticismo correlacionados.
