SPOC: Wiki y Escritura Colaborativa

Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) demand new skills for the self-management of knowledge, the Internet being one of the most effective tools to boost this aspect of distance learning. This can be confirmed by the emergence of SPOCs (Small Private Online Courses), a technological medium through which users can develop their own learning environment. Besides, due to its personalised approach, a relatively high percentage of participants eventually complete the course. In this context, the chair of Cross-curricular English at the National University of La Matanza is developing a research project whose ultimate aim is the design of a SPOC on writing abstracts in English. The aim of this paper is to examine the potential of the digital tool wiki, a fundamental support for the development of collaborative writing.
