Abstract

Türk’e özgü, Türk’e mahsus anlamlarına gelen “türkü” kavramı, Türk ezgisi demektir. 2 Altay Türkleri “kojon”, Azerbaycan Türkleri “mahnı”, Başkurdistan Türkleri “yır, halk yırı”, “Çuvaşistan Türkleri “yurri”, Doğu Türkistan / Uygur Türkleri “nahşa, koça nahşisi”, Hakas Türkleri “tahpah”, Karaçay Türkleri “cır”, Kazakistan Türkleri “Türik halık eni, türki”, Kırgızistan Türkleri “eldik ır, türki”, Kumuk Türkleri “yır”, Özbekistan Türkleri, “türki, halk koşiği, koşık”, Tatar Türkleri “halık cırı”, Türkmenistan Türkleri “halk aydımı” terimlerini kullanır (Kaya, 2014, s. 798-799). Bu terimlerden “cır”, “eldik ır, “halık cırı”, “halk yırı”, “ır”, “yır” ve “yurri” manzum sözlerin ezgilerini öne çıkaran ve bir çalgı aleti eşliğinde söylendiklerini, ezgili oluşlarını vurgulayan terimlerdir. Türkü karşılığında kullanılan terimlerden “halk koşiği”, “koça nahşisi”, “kojon”, “koşık”, “tahpah” ise ezgi ile birlikte ezgiye koşulan manzum söz birlikteliğini ifade eden adlandırmalardır.
