Yonca balya silajlarında farklı katkı maddesi kullanımının silaj kalitesi ve aerobik stabilite üzerine etkileri

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the effects of different additives (formic acid, inoculant, F+I and control group) on the silage quality and aerobic stability of alfalfa silages.Alfalfa was harvested in three different period of the same season (3rd, 4th and 5th). Formic acid and lactic acid bacteria inoculant were used in this study. Microbios ® (Cuprem, USA) used as Lactic acid bacteria inoculant and formic acid which contains %85 acids were used as formic acid. Silages were prepared as to be 35.72 mg inoculant per ton of silage and 0.72 kg formic acid per ton of silage. Alfalfa silos have been stored in outside. At the end of the ensiling period, two silos of each treatment group were opened and chemical and microbiological analyses were made. Aerobic stability test was applied to all silages which were opened at the end of the ensiling period for five days. Consequently lactic acid bacteria inoculants and formic acid increased the quality of alfalfa silages, formic acid, in particular, have played an important role in the pH falls. In terms of aerobic stability, additives used had a positive effect on pH values of silages, but they did not affect yeast and CO2 concentrations.
