Abstract

With the recovery of the oracular antique traditions, the Sybll was assimilated within Christianity along with the Judaic-Christian prophets because she is different from other sources in that she is divinely inspired. This is demonstrated by the fact that just as for the Judaic-Christian prophets, her prophecies are written down. This research reviews the Christian documentation from the apostolic fathers to Augustine to demonstrate this.
