Musikkterapi med kvinnelige innsatte

Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven handler om musikkterapi med kvinnelige innsatte. Studien tar sikte på å undersøke hvordan kvinnelige innsatte opplever musikkterapi i forhold til det å sone i fengsel hvor også mannlige innsatte soner. Studien bruker en kvalitativ tilnærming hvor kvinnelige innsatte ble intervjuet i fengselet gjennom et semi-strukturert intervju. Det ble brukt en tematisk analyse for å analysere intervjuene hvor resultatene viser to hovedtema. Hovedtemaene er kvinners soningsforhold og musikkens betydning. Disse hovedtemaene har tre undertema hver. Undertemaene for kvinners soningsforhold er hverdagslivet, kontakten med mannlige innsatte og forskjellsbehandling. Undertemaene for musikkens betydning er ressurser, motivasjon og høydepunkt. Det finnes generelt lite forskning om musikkterapi med kvinnelige innsatte i Norge, dermed anses denne forskningen som relevant. Resultatene viser at kvinnelige innsatte er utsatt for forskjellsbehandling i blandete fengsler hvor de har mindre tilbud og muligheter enn mannlige innsatte. Musikkterapitilbudet utgjør et høydepunkt for kvinnelige innsatte i deres hverdag, hvor de opplever positive følelser og motivasjon til å fortsette med musikk etter løslatelse. Musikkterapi utgjør dermed et veldig verdifullt tilbud for kvinner som soner i samme fengsel som menn.
