Integrated Coastal Zone Management in Kenya.

Abstract

The development of the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) has started well in Kenya. Institutions that can carry the process forward exist. To further the evolution of this initiative to a mature national programme, the government is asked to give the proposed framework arrangements official recognition and legitimacy and to provide the necessary supervision, technical assistance and financial support to sustain the process.
