Abstract

Research Group: National Research Institute of Far Seas Fisheries (NRIFSF), Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan - 2 Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

Yellowfin and bigeye tuna are the most important tuna species in the Indian Ocean, this paper reviews the stock structure of these two species and describes research plans based on the review.
