Marketing strategies for portuguese companies in the japanese market

Abstract

empresas portuguesas que pretendem entrar e expandir no mercado japonês. Com base numa revisão de literatura abrangente – incluindo as dimensões culturais de Hofstede, a comunicação através da cor e o modelo de marketing-mix (4Ps) – a investigação adota uma abordagem de métodos mistos, combinando entrevistas qualitativas a empresas portuguesas e inquéritos quantitativos a consumidores japoneses. Os resultados revelam que a adaptação cultural, particularmente no design de produto, branding e comunicação promocional, é crucial para o sucesso. O estudo recomenda uma estratégia de marketing híbrida que equilibre a padronização e a adaptação, sustentada por uma forte autenticidade da marca, um compromisso de longo prazo e uma comunicação culturalmente sensível. As limitações incluem o foco setorial restrito à indústria têxtil e a dimensão reduzida da amostra. Investigações futuras devem explorar outros setores ou ampliar a amostra para aumentar a generalização dos resultados.
