Abstract

Através dos dispositivos de controlo, há uma tentativa, nos sistemas prisionais femininos, de punir as reclusas, não somente por serem transgressoras, mas também por serem mulheres que se desviam do senso normativo do que é ser mulher. Assim, o trabalho nas prisões, atua tanto como dispositivo de disciplina, como mecanismo de duplo assujeitamento. Os objetivos do estudo são: a) compreender o significado que as reclusas atribuem às questões laborais e em que medida apresentam um olhar de resistência face ao mesmo b) identificar, nos discursos, os assujeitamentos que perpassam os corpos e identidades dessas reclusas quanto à vida geral e empregabilidade, bem como; c) investigar as expectativas e perspetivas de futuro. Trata se de um estudo de natureza qualitativa, realizado num Estabelecimento Prisional para mulheres com 14 participantes, através de entrevistas semiestruturadas e inventários sociodemográficos. Quanto a análise dos dados, usou-se a análise foucaultiniana do discurso. Os discursos evidenciaram, a vertente positiva e de reeducação do trabalho; os benefícios económicos, embora questionáveis do trabalho e , finalmente, uma forma subversiva de resistência ao sistema prisional e ao trabalho.
