Cálculo em PBL

Abstract

No âmbito da disciplina PIEGI do 1ºano do curso MIEGI, os alunos trabalham em grupo, para construir um projeto sob um tema previamente escolhido pela equipa docente (Project Based Learning -PBL). O projeto é interdisciplinar e tem tarefas alocadas a cada disciplina que contribuem para o resultado final. Desde Reciclar lixo orgânico para produzir bio álcool até Remanufactura de acessórios de moda ou calçado em material sintético, entre muitos outros, há uma variedade de temas tratados pelos alunos. A disciplina de Cálculo integra a disciplina de PIEGI. Os alunos aplicam conhecimentos obtidos como, por exemplo, cálculo integral para criarem formatos de novos objetos contextualizados ao tema e calcular as suas dimensões. Para além da óbvia aplicação do que aprenderam em contexto de aula, o projeto permite a consciencialização da utilidade do que aprenderam, a identificação das suas limitações, tal como o desenvolvimento da escrita da linguagem matemática.
