Cultura digital y narrativas distópicas: de la minificción en red a Black mirror

Abstract

Si hay dos productos culturales que han avanzado y florecido con fuerza en las últimas décadas, merced a la expansión de la cultura digital y a las posibilidades de producción y consumo que ofrece, han sido la minificción, en su vertiente literaria e intermedial, y las series televisivas. Ambas narrativas han conseguido trascender su posición marginal convirtiéndose en marcas de culto –de manera muy notable en la ficción televisiva. Si bien nos enfrentamos a dos productos culturales con notables diferencias, bien es verdad que ambos representan y manifiestan la voluntad de renovación narrativa, que el arte, ya sea literario, dramatúrgico o audiovisual, ha expresado en la cultura actual. La minificción, en cuanto que género de matriz experimental, ha supuesto una renovación de la narrativa (hispánica) incorporando la deriva fragmentada y distorsionada y la exploración formal del cuento, erigiéndose como una de las marcas más singulares de la cultura contemporánea. La porosidad de la frontera entre realidad y ficción, la opción por una narración fragmentada o discontinua o la irrupción de tramas argumentales que ya no se apoyan en la progresión lógica de la historia son las principales claves del relato posmoderno, verificables tanto en los textos literarios seleccionados, como en los episodios de la serie de Charlie Brooker que nos servirá de comparación. De modo que el carácter ex-céntrico de la minificción, forjado en los márgenes del campo literario, invita al tratamiento satírico e irónico, cuando no humorístico de las preocupaciones que asolan al ser humano en este ya importante trecho que llevamos del siglo XXI, del que Black mirror ha hecho una singular, original y rompedora bandera.
