Era uma vez... três livros-objeto da Editorial Majora: recriações de Branca de Neve

Abstract

O presente artigo pretende refletir sobre três publicações materializadas em livros-objeto vindas a lume pela Editorial Majora e que constituem recriações/versões do conto clássico Branca de Neve. Presas a preocupações educativas ou instrumentais, algumas destas obras encontram-se entre os primeiros livros-objeto constantes na História do livro infantil em Portugal. Procede-se à caracterização dos dois volumes reescritos por Costa Barreto, um ilustrado por Laura Costa e impresso em pano e um outro, com desenhos de César Abbott, próximo da tipologia dos livros pop-up. A estes soma-se uma outra obra sob a forma de livro-carrossel-estrela, inscrita na Coleção Panorâmica – livros em três dimensões, de autoria não identificada. A análise apresentada filia-se em estudos recentes sobre o livro-objeto, livro interativo, movable books ou toy books (Linden, 2007; Pelachaud, 2010, 2016; Trebbi, 2012; Paiva, 2013; Sánchez, 2015; Ramos, 2017; Reid-Walsh, 2018), obras nas quais os elementos peritextuais gozam de grande proveito.
