Abstract

Com esta roda-viva desenfreada, que assinala, através das tecnologias, a passagem do regime da palavra e do pensamento ao regime dos números e da medida, assim como a passagem do regime das ideias ao regime das emoções, desabou no Ocidente o edifício da cultura, erguido ao longo de milhares de anos. E se há lugar em que a crise da cultura se manifesta hoje mais clamorosamente é na universidade. Hoje, aquilo que passou a constituir a natureza da universidade é a ideologia comercial. Contudo, não há que esquecer que a sua missão é a da salvaguarda das possibilidades da (a)ventura do pensamento. Cabe-lhe fazer do ensino e da ciência uma ideia, que encarne um princípio de resistência crítica e uma força de dissidência, ambos comandados por “uma justiça do pensamento” (Derrida, 2001, p. 21).
