A economia comportamental no contexto empresarial: estudo de caso numa empresa portuguesa

Abstract

The role of Behavioral Economics in companies is a theme little explored in the academic world. Much has been researched in this area elsewhere, but little is known about its influence in a business context. The purpose of this report was to study under the light of Behavioral Economics the decision making of employees of a Portuguese company, in particular focusing on relations between three departments. For this, four interviews were conducted with the directors of each department to identify the relevant topics regarding the relationship between departments. Subsequently, three questionnaires were implemented, one for each department, in order to understand if the themes identified in the interviews were confirmed, as well as those considered relevant in the field of Behavioral Economics. With the conclusions drawn, some nudging suggestions have been left that may help to improve some of the weaker points of this company's intra- and interdepartmental dynamics.
