Ferramentas de avaliação emocional aplicado ao design de mobiliário macio

Abstract

Fruit of the concern with the basic need of man to experience emotionally comfortable objects (Kukhta and Pelevin, 2015), and the interaction between users and their living spaces, positive and/or negative feelings (Reddy et al2012).) subject to be studied, are manifested according to the literature review. The am, bient that hosts human life is changing, hence there is the need for new scenarios, to create threads of chained memories, to support an emotionally balanced comfort, that is, to consider the relationship between man and his ambient, taking into account the preservation of his intrinsic culture (Mostafavi, 2008), adjusting the probable errors in the design of spaces. This approach focuses on results collected from the users’ interaction with soft furnishings (I.e. curtains and upholstered furniture). Reactions are externalized through sensory stimuli that interpret and recognize familiar patterns or seize new experiences that translate into communication, empathy, order or disorder. (Kamil and Abidin, 2013; Petty, 2012). In the narrower context of man’s relationship with soft furnishings, more specifically curtains and upholstery, there is no focused research on these elements to ensure the recognition of its variants causing multiple impressions (feelings, interactions) on individuals. Thus, there is room for study and classification of soft furnishings to ensure its reasoned and assertive use minimizing the problems inherent to the organization and construction of a home. To this end, a survey of possible methodologies that allow for the formulation and resolution of issues of objective and systematic acquisition of knowledge within the measurement of emotions resulting from the user’s contact with soft furnishings was made. Following this line of thought, it was observed that the emotional responses can then be measured by affective reports, physiological reactions and behavior assessments based on three tools: I. questionnaires, II. analysis of the neurophysiological and biochemical reactions, III. the use of images.
