O presente artigo tem o objetivo de analisar o processo de (co)construção e desenvolvimento das atividades didáticas no âmbito do Projeto Curricular Integrado (PCI) de uma turma de 7.º ano de Percurso Curricular Alternativo, de uma escola de Educação Básica situada no norte de Portugal. O projeto surgiu da necessidade de colmatar as dificuldades de aprendizagem de um grupo de alunos com histórico de insucesso escolar repetido. Desenvolvido numa perspectiva de investigação-ação emancipatória, o estudo recorre ao inquérito por questionário e entrevista, à observação participante e análise documental para descrever e analisar o processo de desenvolvimento do PCI. Pautado na flexibilização dos componentes curriculares, o PCI favoreceu o planejamento colaborativo, a superação da fragmentação disciplinar e a valorização da cultura do educando, da sua identidade e autonomia, ajudando a superar as dificuldades de aprendizagem e a promover o sucesso escolar. INTEGRATED CURRICULAR PROJECT AND CURRICULAR DIVERSIFICATION: an action research study in the context of an alternative curricular course in Portugal Abstract This article aims to analyze the process of (co)construction and development of instructional activities in the Project Integrated Curriculum (PIC) in a 7th grade class of an Alternative Curriculum Program, in a school of basic education in the north of Portugal. The project arose from the need to overcome the learning difficulties of a group of students with a history of repeated school failure. Using an action research methodology, of an emancipatory nature, the PIC involved inquiry through questionnaires and interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in order to describe and analyse the process of developing the PIC. Based on the flexibility of the curriculum components, the PIC favored collaborative planning and the promotion of the student’s culture, their identity and autonomy, overcoming the disciplinary fragmentation.
