Corpo e alma do design emocional

Abstract

No diálogo com a joalharia tradicional portuguesa, fruto de um legado de experiências, reencontramos ciclicamente a luta de uma indústria artesanal, que encontra nas emoções, a marca de uma cultura milenar. A História, conta-nos um percurso acidentado de uma técnica caracterizada pela encruzilhada de culturas que herdamos, expressa por uma leveza impar, a filigrana. Esta linguagem, estruturada com base em filamentos veio a encontrar no Minho, a adoção de uma identidade, visível nos trajes tradicionais, que ao longo das várias épocas foi sofrendo pequenas adaptações, ora para sustentar riqueza como no caso do barroco, ou carregando uma carga simbólica e emotiva como no caso dos “corações de Viana”. Esta dádiva cultural vê ameaçada toda uma herança de um modo de produção artesanal, onde a carga emotiva entre artesão e usufruidor ganha um vazio numa lógica de produção massificada (Providência and Cunha, 2011); (Huang and Qiao, 2012). Perante esta descaracterização, novas abordagens de design de autor revisitam a linguagem da filigrana construindo gramáticas contemporâneas como ferramentas de interação entre usufruidor e produto (Campos, 2004) focadas na experiência que o utilizador tem com este, baseadas em prototipagem 3D (Chapman, 2005). Neste sentido, abordamos o design emocional aplicado à joalharia contemporânea, caracterizando um conjunto de inputs baseados no utilizador passíveis de criar um diálogo emocional na interação produto-usufruidor.
