Desenvolvimento de embalagem biodegradável para aplicação na agricultura

Abstract

Este projeto nasce com a necessidade da indústria agrícola beneficiar das propriedades e funcionalidades dos polímeros biodegradáveis que se encontram em franca expansão no mercado global. Desta forma foram estudadas diversas formulações com base na matriz termoplástica biodegradável de PLA 3251D, e diversos aditivos orgânicos e inorgânicos como as borras de café, fibras de madeira e o adubo para, desta forma, desenvolver uma embalagem mais funcional. Foi analisado o nível de biodegradabilidade dos biocompósitos formulados por dois métodos a compostagem e o CBO. Para a realização do ensaio de compostagem foi construído um equipamento que reunia as condições para acelerar o processo natural de decomposição e, desta forma, avaliar o comportamento da embalagem no meio de modo a garantir a sua total assimilação pelos microrganismos, não sendo prejudicial para o ambiente, favorecendo o desenvolvimento sustentável da planta. Reunidos todos esses requisitos, foi desenvolvido o design da embalagem. Sendo assim, é possível almejar a criação de um produto inovador capaz de ser desenvolvido no mercado industrial, revolucionando as embalagens biodegradáveis para aplicação agrícola.
